This BMX Competition has 3 categories/tiers:
Advanced - Can flow/trick all lines (small, medium, large), all ages
Amateur - Can flow/trick small and medium lines, all ages
Junior - small or medium and pump line, 3yrs to 9yrs
Each category will be held in a Jam format, each rider will be registered and given a number to place on their helmet. Each category will be allowed a specific amount of time to perform 3 or more full runs depending on the total amount of registered riders.
Judges will rate each rider on skills (flow, style, difficulty of trick, and use of terrain) and will collectively pick the top 3 riders of each category for awards.
Bonus fact: Judges like it when you get the crowd pumped up!!!
Helmets are mandatory, and pads are recommended. Be sure to get your bike tuned up beforehand!
Be safe and ride within your skill level!

What do you need to join?
WATER SAFETY – ALL paddlers will require a safety kit.
Paddlers under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult and wear all safety equipment. To ensure top-notch safety for all of our guests, lifejackets are recommended for all Canine/Feline/Animal guests too!

Back for its 3rd year! The 2024 Forest Lea Trail Run is proud to have Holiday Inn Express Pembroke returning as it's title sponsor!
Located in the heart of the Laurentian Valley, the race consists of trails that are primarily single track with its fair share of roots and rocks, and a little bit of dirt road thrown in here and there! Challenge yourself in one of two distances, 10 km, or 27 km. Both races start with a double track section to spread out the group, and then spend the rest of the time in the tight, technical trails. Maximum of 150 competitors between both races.
For youth 15 years of age and younger that want to try their hand at trail running these is a free 3 km race. Race covers mostly dirt road and double track trails. It is advisable a parent accompanies youth for safety, as trails are fairly technical in some area (no requirement to register). Maximum 25 entrants.
Shirt sizes can only be guaranteed for those who register by August 1st.

Distances:
There are three distances to choose from. The first is an entry-level event for youth at 3 km (25 participants max). The second is 10 km and the third is a distance run of 27 km. All runs utilize the trails at Forest Lea, specifically mimicking the routes used by the Forest Lea Enduro race which has in the past used the same distances for their event. The 27 km race is part of the Outrace series.

Proposed 10 km route – Start loop (Out road, ski trail, Jolly Roger, Oliver's, Q Loop), Art, Jolly Roger to finish.
Proposed 27 km route – Start loop, Original Red, Back Loops, Maple Syrup, Flat Pass, Jolly Roger, to finish.

Join us to learn the basics of Fly Fishing. We start with an introduction to the equipment, rigging, and technique, and then spend time learning to cast a fly line. Apply basic fly fishing casting to different fishing tactics: shooting line, stripping streamers, and drifting dry flies. The course will be approximately 2.5 hours long. Fly fishing equipment was provided. Wear footwear that can get wet, a sun hat, and safety glasses/sunglasses. Participants can participate and learn to cast without an Ontario fishing license, however for the ‘in water’ fly fishing tactics a fishing license is required.

Kayak Bass Canada will be this year's hosts for The Upper Ottawa Kayak Fishing Tournament, which is comprised of multi-species catch, photo and release tournament taking place on the might and historic Ottawa River.
The event features kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddling (SUP) anglers on the Ottawa River.
Included with registration is 2 nights of camping, parking at both venues, an event shirt (guaranteed only for registrations received by July 15), a pile of swag (we've been told it's the best swag bag ever), catered dinner (guest tickets available at $10/person per meal), live music, cash payouts, sponsored prizes and trophies in 4 multi-species categories focusing on great camaraderie and a full day of fun!
