Introduction to Fly Fishing
Join us to learn the basics of Fly Fishing. We start with an introduction to the equipment, rigging, and technique, and then spend time learning to cast a fly line. Apply basic fly fishing casting to different fishing tactics: shooting line, stripping streamers, and drifting dry flies. The course will be approximately 2.5 hours long. Fly fishing equipment was provided. Wear footwear that can get wet, a sun hat, and safety glasses/sunglasses. Participants can participate and learn to cast without an Ontario fishing license, however for the ‘in water’ fly fishing tactics a fishing license is required.
